We are delighted to host a special lecture at the University of Oxford by Will Marshall, Co-Founder and CEO of Planet. Planet built and runs the largest fleet of Earth observation satellites ever assembled, imaging the entire land surface of the Earth every day.
Space and AI are two of the most exciting fields in technology today, and Planet sits at their intersection. The subject of his lecture, “Planetary Intelligence”, will focus on how Earth observation and AI, brought together, can make what is happening on the planet visible and useful to the people who must act on it.

Will took his doctorate in physics here at Oxford, and we are glad to welcome him back. Researchers across the University, in a wide range of disciplines, already use Planet’s data in their work.
The lecture will be on Friday 12th June 2026 from 14:00 to 15:30, at Oriel College’s Senior Library.
