Tim Rowe joined the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA’s) Environmental, Social and Governance (ESG) Division at its creation in 2021. Since then, Tim has worked on the implementation across the FCA of the ESG Strategy published in November 2021, publication of the FCA’s first climate-related financial disclosure (in July 2022) and its Climate Change Adaptation Report (October 2021). Tim is also leading the FCA’s work to publish this year its first net zero transition plan.
Tim has collaborated on ESG issues with colleagues across the FCA’s functions, from Operations, Procurement and Corporate Governance to Authorisations, Supervision, Enforcement and Innovation. Prior to this, Tim undertook a range of management roles in Policy, taking in the FCA’s response to the Covid-19 crisis (focusing on mortgages and consumer credit), its preparations for Brexit and in Markets Policy (primarily on the negotiations around MiFID 2). Tim is an experienced international negotiator, having led working groups and task forces at both ESMA and IOSCO. Prior to his 13 years at the FCA, Tim worked in a number of roles for the London Stock Exchange Group.
